Stand Up to Giant

This March, Giant announced they were closing their Reservoir St. location in Lancaster city. Soon after, city residents found out that, in addition to closing, Giant is refusing to sell the building to another grocery store.

In an attempt to box out any potential competition to suburban Giant stores, Giant is effectively rejecting any attempt to provide already underserved neighborhoods with easy access to healthy food. While Giant is fighting for our profit, city residents, especially children and the elderly, will be fighting for their lives.

Join us this Thursday, May 18th as residents respond to Giant's unfair corporate tactics with a picket and call for boycott outside the Lititz Pike Giant (at Lancaster Shopping Center).

And if you haven’t already, mail your Giant card to their corporate headquarters in (1149 Harrisburg Pike Carlisle, PA 17013) with a note saying why you value your community's access to food over a corporations desire for profit!
