Lloyd Smucker: No Tax Cuts For The 1%!

Please also RSVP on Facebook, share the event, and invite friends.

The GOP tax bill is a 1.5-trillion-dollar tax giveaway to Wall Street and big corporations. Senator Elizabeth Warren describes it as "the biggest tax giveaway to giant corporations in modern history."

We have to make it clear to Congressman Lloyd Smucker that his constituents overwhelmingly reject this bad bill.

Please join us on Wednesday after the work day at Congressman Smucker's Lancaster office to send a clear message: Lancaster values a fair tax system — where big corporations pay their fair share.

Big corporations and the wealthiest Americans are paying historically low taxes after decades of so-called "trickle-down" policies. These policies are not working. With insufficient revenue because of tax breaks for the very wealthy, the fabric of our society is weakening. Our public schools are not getting the resources they need. We are not keeping pace. Even our basic national infrastructure is deteriorating.

Lloyd Smucker wants to double down on the failed trickle-down policies that have decimated the middle class. It's one thing for Smucker to go around touting the GOP tax bill. It's another thing for him to act as if his constituents want this.

Like the disastrous healthcare bill that Smucker voted for, this tax bill would hurt millions of Americans and would only benefit a few at the top. And like the healthcare bill, we've got to step up and stop this.

We can stop it. Please join us on Wednesday.

Bring a sign if you can — or just bring yourself. Let's tell Lloyd what Lancaster values.

And please call Lloyd Smucker's office to tell him to vote against this bill.
